Si parte dall’Ovadese e dalla valle Orba, toccando, tra l’altro, Cremolino, Rocca Grimalda, Tagliolo Monferrato e Lerma, per poi spostarsi verso Novi Ligure e la val Lemme con Francavilla Bisio e San Cristoforo, arrivando a Gavi Ligure. Infine, ci si addentra nella bassa val Borbera e in valle Spinti fino a Cantalupo Ligure e Grondona.
Lungo il percorso numerosi castelli, torri, borghi medievali, luoghi di culto, splendidi punti panoramici rendono questi itinerari, che si sviluppano tra colline, vigneti, boschi, prati, torrenti e piccoli corsi d’acqua, particolarmente affascinanti e ricchi di suggestione.
The volume presents twelve itineraries, suitable for hikers and bikers, which develop along the paths and roads of the Alto Monferrato. The characteristic of the guide is to combine easy walks, between history and nature, with legends and places to eat and drink. It starts from the Ovadese and the Orba valley, touching, among other things, Cremolino, Rocca Grimalda, Tagliolo Monferrato and Lerma, and then moves towards Novi Ligure and the Lemme valley with Francavilla Bisio and San Cristoforo, arriving in Gavi Ligure. Finally, you enter the lower Borbera valley and the Spinti valley as far as Cantalupo Ligure and Grondona.
Along the way numerous castles, towers, medieval villages, places of worship, splendid panoramic points make these itineraries, which develop among hills, vineyards, woods, meadows, streams and small waterways, particularly fascinating and full of suggestion.
