General indexed map of the island with an enlargement for the environs of San Juan, and plans of Viejo San Juan, Ponce, Mayagüez, Aguadilla, and Arecibo. The map shows topography by elevation colouring and spot heights, with national parks and protected areas clearly marked. US military areas are also shown. Road network includes dirt tracks and highlights scenic routes. Symbols indicate various places of interest, including tourist offices, selected hotels, public beaches, golf courses, scuba diving and snorkeling sites, places of interest, etc. The map is indexed and has latitude and longitude lines are drawn at 7.5' intervals.
The neighbouring islands, Isla de Vieques and Isla de Culebra are shown as an inset at the same scale as the main map. The other islands, Desecheo, Moniyto, and Mona are shown on much smaller insets with hardly any detail. The map also includes street plans of Viejo San Juan, Mayagüez, Arecibo, Aguadilla ,and Ponce, plus a general map of the San Juan area at 1:60,000, all annotated with places of interest, etc.
