It probably doesn't need to be explained specifically to motorcyclists that with a car we can never feel the landscape and the places through which the road leads us in the same way as we can experience it on a motorcycle. At that time, we are in direct contact with the environment, as we feel the smell, temperature and humidity of the air, the heat of the sun, the cold spray of rain, the strength of the wind and the contact with the road surface. Let's make the journey even more interesting with stops to refresh ourselves and to see some natural or cultural attractions on top of that. And we have all this in abundance in Slovenia. Even if we go on the journey alone.
That's why we dedicate the Slovenia motorcycle atlas to domestic and foreign motorcyclists who want to visit the most beautiful corners of Slovenia in the saddle of their motorcycle and ride its most winding roads with beautiful views. Many happy and safe kilometers!
The Atlas offers 12 one-day trips in different parts of the country and 6 trips beyond the borders of Slovenia, as well as some hints about natural and cultural attractions located along individual routes. The map shows petrol stations, distances in kilometers between major towns and a few inns that offer everything you need for a proper stopover. All routes are circular. Their beginning and end are not marked, as it is intended and reasonable that each traveler chooses them according to the direction from which he is coming. An estimate of time consumption is also written for each route, which we have divided into three groups. For beginners, we assumed that they cut corners more slowly, while experienced ones reach their destination a little faster. However, this is not the rule, as even some very experienced motorcyclists are comfortable with a leisurely ride and are happy to spend more time. The written driving time is meant without stops. With the help of the attached QR code, you can get GPX files of all 18 routes from the Internet. Use them by downloading them to a navigation device or smartphone that allows you to import GPX files. This way, you will be able to monitor the progress of the route on the screen. There are also free navigation apps online for smartphones that allow this.
