The map shows topography by elevation colouring and spot heights, with national parks and protected areas clearly marked. US military areas are also shown. Road network includes dirt tracks and highlights scenic routes. Symbols indicate various places of interest, including tourist offices, selected hotels, public beaches, golf courses, scuba diving and snorkeling sites, places of interest, etc. The map is indexed and has latitude and longitude lines are drawn at 7.5' intervals.

The other islands, Desecheo, Moniyto, and Mona are shown on much smaller insets with hardly any detail.
