Jessica Lee

Since deciding that growing up and getting a proper job was highly overrated at the age of 18, New Zealander Jessica Lee has travelled extensively in Africa, Asia and Latin America. An obsession with nomadic people led her to the Middle East in 2004 where she fell in love with the Arabic language and the incredible hospitality of the people. From 2007 to 2011 she was based in North Africa as a tour leader for an adventure travel company and was one of the few leaders ever to run the Cairo to Casablanca tour. After hanging up her tour-leading hat, she became a full-time writer specializing in North Africa, the Middle East and Turkey.
