The outdoor map Lemmenjoki 1:100 000 / 1:50 000 is printed on synthetic material. The new durable Finnish outdoor maps can be identified by the yellow marking on the cover.
Lemmenjoki National Park offers the tranquillity of wilderness. The landscape is dominated by a great river valley, rugged treeless fells and wide open wetlands. Those interested in local culture will find gold diggers, reindeer herding and historical wilderness huts. The double-sided map covers the area of National Park. In the west it stretches to Korsatupa hut while the farthest point in the north is the village of Angeli, in the east the villages of Menesjärvi and Kuttura and in the south near village of Pokka. Part of Norwegian Øvre Anarjohka National park is also visible. New hiking route "Kultareitti" is shown on the map.
The material of the map is fully waterproof and can withstand almost unlimited folding, and it will not rip in normal map use. The features are also retained during frost and heat. The print is crisp and the colours are bright. The map has a pleasant feel and is lighter than if printed on paper.
In addition to terrain details, e.g. huts, routes and other hiking services, as well as dining and accommodation services, have been marked on the map. The map includes ten attractions or experiences in the area, which have been described in a few sentences at the edge of the map in Finnish and English. At the edge of the map, you can also find all the hut coordinates in the area as well as information about the magnetic declination. The scale of the main map is 1:100 000 (1 cm on the map = 1 km of terrain) which is well suited to vast wilderness area. The most popular area in the national park is shown also in a more detailed scale of 1:50 000 (1 cm on the map = 500 m of terrain).
